Elizabeth and Tyler | wedding photographer lexington ky | engagement photographer lexington ky | Keeneland Racecourse

Elizabeth and Tyler love Keeneland and love each other. We had a great time wandering around and exploring the property and enjoying the crisp fall day. The sun came out and warmed us up and we made the most of the beautiful light.

Lesley & Jared! | wedding photographer lexington ky | studio walz blog

It was a lovely fall day in Lexington for Lesley and Jared's engagement sitting.

We were overjoyed when we learned of Lesley and Jared's engagement. We have known Lesley most of her life and have witnessed her growing up and becoming a wonderful woman that we admire. Lesley is a part of our church family at Second Presbyterian Church which makes this occasion even more special.

Their sitting took place on the streets and parks of downtown Lexington.  Scott always enjoys his time with couples. It is a special time in their lives and he is always excited to be a part of it.

Eliza | senior photographer lexington ky | high school senior blog

We were excited to receive the phone call from Eliza’s mother telling us it was time for Eliza’s senior portraits. A high school seniors’ pictures is something every student looks forward to. It’s a milestone of the much awaited senior year. When you have your portraits taken then its official “you’re a senior”.

Jacquelyn and Brendan | wedding photographer lexington ky | studio walz blog

On a beautiful fall day I had the happy pleasure of photographing Jacquelyn and Brendan in celebration of their engagement and upcoming spring wedding.  We started out at Brendan's parents home exploring the fields and sparkling light and burning fall colors.  It was clear at once how truly in love they are and how exited they are about their future together.

We walked the grounds laughing and talking and making these wonderful photographs.  The trees and barn were fun to explore and the time past quickly and sweetly.

Soon we were off to finish our session on the University of Kentucky's awesome campus and were greeted by shouts of encouragement and congratulations while being serenaded by the fabulous UK marching band.   They were in the practice field preparing entertain all the fans at Commonwealth Stadium and cheer on our beloved Wildcats.

Both engineering students, we went to the center of campus where they spend much of their time and took in the day and its glowing end.  The kiss of warm light on Memorial Hall and the glow of the setting sun were magical and left us with the final challenge of the day.  Could two future engineers master the art of hard hat kissing?  You'll have to watch and see!

Caroline | children and family photographer lexington ky

We love the children we photograph. It’s a special time in their lives when there is not a care in the world. Laughter is all around these precious children.

I know I would love to go back to a time when my only worry is what game I would be playing next.

This little one we absolutely adore!

You may have seen her photograph before. We have an enlargement of her in the main entrance hall leading to the studio. Also, we have a sample album of her too.

Many of our clients find an album is a good solution to loving and wanting a lot of the photographs from their portrait session. And an album is easily transportable too so you can take it with you to show your family and friends.

Martha and Del's Engagement Session | wedding photographer lexington ky

We had a great time with Martha and Del.  So great we did it twice!  Well, we started out at the Bodley-Bullock house in Gratz Park and then wandered around downtown as you will see.  But then the weather turned on us and we had to reschedule the second half of the session out at the family farm.

They shared their fun story of how they met at Charlie Brown's restaurant and how Del was able to win a date with Martha and eventually her heart.  You can tell how much they truly care for each other and how much fun they have together.  We can't wait for their wedding in May!

The Louisville Palace | photographer Louisville ky | studio walz advertising

It just never gets old no matter how many years you have been in business. Studio Walz has been doing advertising work since we open our doors in 1992. We have become accustom to seeing our work in magazines and billboards. But as I said it just never gets old and it’s always flattering seeing our work in print.

The Louisville Palace was so impressed with Scott’s photographs from a recent wedding that they wanted to use it in their advertising. Check out this page from the Louisville Bride.

The Louisville Palace is a great place to photograph and we appreciate the many compliments we have received from that wedding guests and customers. Feel free to look at our blog for Nikki and Jace’s wedding photos or on our website under the heading of weddings.
